City’s Investigation of Consumer Fraud Leads to Full Refund for Victims of Home Improvement Scam

Amicone Urges Residents to Notify City’s Consumer Protection Bureau of all Possible Fraud

YONKERS, NY – February 6, 2007 -- Mayor Philip Amicone today announced the successful efforts of the Consumer Protection Bureau to secure over $66,000 thousand dollars in restitution for several residents of Yonkers who unknowingly paid the same general contractor for home improvement services that were never completed.
