The program has been servicing the community’s children for 14 years and costs approximately $45,000 per year to operate. The program was dependent, in large part, on funding from a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). When the City of Yonkers substantially cut back the CDBG, the program could no longer be sustained without outside financial assistance.
