Amicone , incapable of rescinding term limits, is found addressing his former staff who have joined him in the real world. It is a small remnant of the usual characters for a light brunch meeting at the Amackassin Club.

Is Yonkers Mayor Phil Amicone to blame for that which he is to be held accountable? If we are to hold him responsible, then we can also find fault.

The theme or mantra promoted by Mayor Amicone over the last six years has been economic development, education, and a better, safer Yonkers. He said he would achieve this without partisan politics, with open government, cost savings, and reaping the tax benefits of his guesstimate revenue stream of millions of dollars. This, combined with thousands of new jobs both temporary and permanent would well serve the residents of Yonkers. He, Mayor Amicone, may even become the "little Bloomberg on the Hudson."

After reading Dr. Ed U. Cator’s article on the Yonkers Public (Political) Schools and the Inspector General’s report, and the Mayor's response to the use of City vehicles and free gas, it continues to confirm my belief, that after 14 years at the top of Yonkers government, with six years as its chief executive, Mayor Phillip Amicone is clueless. Because if he is not, it is worse for all of us that he feigns ignorance and surprise at every day the sun rises when it is reported to him, time and time again, as fact.

How Long Will the Call Be to Play Ball? By Vox Populi

Yonkers has endured 14 years of vision driven development plans and rhetoric. Six of those years under Mayor Amicone who was moved from the bleachers to the dugout without ever stopping in the bullpen. If his “game” were superimposed on a baseball field or golf course, his twin loves, extra bases and innings, as well as more holes, would have to be added to extend his play. Perhaps inviting the rescinding of term limits next year. In the meanwhile, it seems that Mayor Amicone is not able to complete the game(plan).
