Gov. Cuomo Advises of Metro-North Service Began Limited Service at 2 PM Today

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced this afternoon the reopening of LaGuardia Airport tomorrow morning, November 1, at 7:00 AM. Both runways will be open. 

YONKERS, NY -- October 31, 2012 -- As of 2:00PM today, the following is an up-to-date service status list of the MTA operating agencies including New York City Transit, Long Island Rail Road, Metro-North and Bridges and Tunnels.

On Monday, June 18, summer service changes will go into effect on 10 Bee-Line bus routes.

Mayor Mike Spano Calls Upon Westchester County Executive Astorino to Intervene on Behalf of Public and Student Interest

YONKERS, NY – February 29, 2012 – As threats of a transit worker strike loom over commuters, Mayor Mike Spano yesterday called on Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino to intervene with on-going contract negotiations between Transit Workers Union Local 100 and Liberty Lines, the private bus company which operates the County’s bus network. Mayor Spano and Yonkers Superintendent Bernard Pierorazio sent a letter* to Astorino expressing their concern and urging immediate action to help prevent a massive strike from taking effect.

“Thousands of Yonkers high school students utilize Student MetroCards offered by the Yonkers Public School District,” said Mayor Spano. “A strike would greatly inhibit the ability of those students who rely on Bee-Line bus service for transportation to attend school.”

New York Water Taxi to Suspend Service from Haverstraw to Lower Manhattan; Yonkers Service to be Maintained

Bronx River Parkway BridgeRehabilitation Work Scheduled in Yonkers, Mount Vernon

MOUNT VERNON, NY and YONKERS, NY -- The Bronx River Parkway in the vicinity of Sherwood Avenue/Oak Street Bridge will be reduced to two lanes between the Cross County Parkway and Yonkers Avenue from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the following dates:
