Judge Asked to Maintain Guilty Verdict Against Annabi and Jereis
NEW YORK , NY —Federal prosecutors Perry A. Carbone and Jason P.W. Halperin, assistant U.S. Attroneys presented a 68-page pre-sentencing motion to the Honorable Colleen McMahon, U.S. District Judge, who presided over the court hearing in the case against former Councilwoman Sandy Annabi and former GOP Chairman Zehy Jereis, beseeching her to uphold the guilty jury verdict cast against the defendants.
Sentencing is scheduled for October 4, 2012.
Any word on what ever happened to the Milio's?????

as a legal proposition on the question of the ridge
hill bribery counts only....someone please explain
how even zhey jeries could pay 180,000 over a period
of 6 years in the anticipation that one day he would
be able to count on the annabi vote for a project that
needed a supermajority of councilmembers and one that
was not even on the drawing boards at the tims...with
the only benefit to jeries being that after the vote
was cast he got a one year consulting contract for
120,000 less than he laid out...and further if he really owned the vote why did he have to beg, cajole
and be rebuffed so many times in terms of annabi agreeing to do his bidding the vote not ultimately
changing until the developer was willing to add 500,000
to the pot....from the point of view of a conspiracy
charge..where is the agreement? and that is what the
federal judge will have to decide...they have got both of them cold on the milio counts so if she throws the
ridge hill counts out it won't make much difference..
bottom line however is that whenever there is proof
going forward that anything has changed hands from anyone seeking to build anything to any elected official required to vote on it the penalties FOR THE
PERSON PAYING THE MONEY SHOULD BE CONFISCATORY
able to deliver

clear...both annabi and jeries will be going to jail
based on the milio conviction...the legal issue that
I am discussing is not defending either one of them
its about whether the government's theory of the case
was supported by the evidence...so why don't you shut
your mouth and wait for the judges ruling....because
discussing the criminal law and required elements of
criminal activity is clearly above your pay grade

If someone is on retainer to do whatever they are told, they don't end up costing that entity more money, get it? The prosecution arugment was that she was on Jereis's retainer, and HE WAS WORKING FOR THE DEVELOPER... the said developer to which I just attributed a very costly lobbying effort to get her to change her mind. Please have an adult in your home explain this to you.
