What about the Supts $300,000 ANNUAL salary with benefits. I would slash their budget by 50%.
Posted by: Bozo | June 24, 2012 at 20:12
are you fucking people serious ???? The budget is already more than 500,000,000 and for those of you who did go to the yonkers public schools and aren't so good with numbers, thats have a BILLION DOLLARS
With those numbers there should be mensa scholars coming out of there instead there are only school of hard knocks candidates

all so laughable
"protest in style"!
WTF is right...
why don't you just get Sansone and SFC to host this event.
I hear they do a great tap dance...
it's such an annual event....shit just make it part riverfest.

Just piling more money into a sinking ship yet the Supt who is so concerned about the lack of money for the schools has a total compensation package right around $300.000-does not make sense and we are getting tired of the worn out mantra "it's all about the kids" bullshit.

Sad commentary that you have to offer 'free pizza to the first 100' in order to get people to attend. And, then again, attend what? A protest demanding more money when as all the above posters noted the 'it's all about the kids bs' is getting worn when everyone knows its about the money for teachers, admins, and the supt. How'd the protest go at the BoE meeting the other night? Hezi dropped the ball on that one - there was no follow-up on the parents displeasure of Mike Spano's appointment of political hacks as school trustees. Now that's something to rally against.

Heard that everyone that attend this farce got at least two slices each!
