YONKERS, NY -- Governor George E. Pataki and Mayor Philip A. Amicone of Yonkers last week endorsed Carmen Gómez Goldberg for Westchester County Legislator for Yonkers District 17, both stating that she is the most experienced and qualified candidate in the race.
“I am proud to call Carmen Gómez Goldberg my friend. Her strength and tenacity are qualities I know first hand and relied upon working together in the trenches when I was Governor. Carmen is an independent accountable leader with a 35 year proven track record of success in Westchester County. She is a powerhouse as an entrepreneur and political advisor. She has a unique ability to handle problems diplomatically and effectively – one person at a time – one issue at a time. She is a consensus builder whose only objective is to get what her community needs resolved. With Carmen’s experience I have no doubt that she can and will persuade her colleagues to stop out of control spending, find a better way to streamline Government and make it more efficient and accountable to the people. I am proud today to endorse, mi amiga, Carmen Gómez Goldberg for Westchester County Legislator of District 17th in Yonkers,” said Governor George E. Pataki.
Mayor Philip A. Amicone said, “Carmen Gómez Goldberg has always been there for me when I have needed her as a friend, advisor and supporter and I am here for her today! Carmen is passionate, honest and has the experience needed to serve the people of all Westchester County. To me that makes her the best qualified candidate in this race hands down. What District 17 of Yonkers and Westchester County needs is an experienced professional who has lived, worked and is invested in this community. Understands what needs to get done and works to accomplish it. Carmen is that person. I am endorsing Carmen Gómez Goldberg because she is the best qualified candidate in this race.”
“I am humbled and proud of the support of these two great men. Governor Pataki, thank you, for your encouragement, support, friendship and loyalty throughout these years, it has meant a great deal to me especially when my son David was in Iraq. I will never forget your words of support and your actions. Mayor Amicone thank you for standing here with me today, we have worked hard to make Yonkers better and I promise both of you and the people of Yonkers and Westchester County that I will live up to your support and faith in me,” said Gómez Goldberg .

who gives a damn what these two imbeciles have to say?
One wrecks a state.
The other wrecks a city.
The only thing they have in common is the arrogance and audacity to still stand up and speak.

Anyone who has more than 2 terms in the the political process is NOT QUALIFIED for any further political pork. We need new people with new ideas and not more of the same, which continues to keep us in the mess we are in.
Amicone and Pataki, too peas from the same pod. Tax and spend democrats hiding in the skin of the republican party.

no you old fart...it is the CITIZENS OF YONKERS criticzing Pataki and Amicone. Can't you get it through your thick head that Yonkersites care about Yonkers, not your continued attempts to deflect our LOCAL REPUBLICAN DEFICIENCIES to other branches of government? I truly don't even know why I bother to respond to your posts, when you continue to fail to respond to everyone's posts on this site, who get you to answer one, just once, challenge to your nasty republican clowns who have raped and pillaged the City of Yonkers. I guess responding to you is akin to the reality show 1,000 ways to die...you, Mr. Treacy, have 1,000 ways to avoid a challenge to your robotic rhetoric.
Your tagline should be Jack Be Nimble, since you certainly are adept at sidestepping local issues.

and lets not forget Jack's BUDDY, AMICONE who gave away RidgeHill to Developers for peanuts. He has no negative comments about that. He must agree with all of the MAYOR'S TAX HIKES, etc, Just like CHUCK, LARKIN, MURTAGH & SHEPHERD DO.

The Westchester County Board of Legislators have approved five separate bills that will each extend an inter-municipal agreement between the county and one of the towns that are part of the agreement to protect New York.
