Governor Cuomo Announces Closure of the Tappan Zee Bridge

Road Sign-DoNotEnter-Closed-Detour Governor Andrew Cuomo today announced that the Tappan Zee Bridge is closed due to flooding on the New York State Thruway. The Thruway northbound between Exits 8 (Tarrytown) and 17 (Harriman) and southbound between Exits 17 (Newburgh) and 12 (West Nyack) continue to be closed due to flooding.

The Hudson River bridges north of the Tappan Zee Bridge remain open with moderate sustained winds. This includes the Bear Mountain Bridge, Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, Mid-Hudson Bridge, Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge, and the Rip Van Winkle Bridge.
