NEW YORK, NY -- On Friday, April 29th, New York Civic will begin a ten-day online Ebay auction ending in a live silent auction on May 9th to raise money for six fellowships we will be awarding later this year to support investigative journalism in New York State. But before we kick off the auction, we are putting out a last call for item donations that are valued at $100 or more. All gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. So far, among the donations we have received are classic sports memorabilia, historic political paraphernalia, VIP tickets to the Empire State Building Observatory, gift certificates to great local restaurants, and consultations with expert life coaches and career advisers.
If you have any items, services, or tickets to special events that you would be willing to donate to New York Civic, please call 212-564-4441 or direct email to morgan@nycivic.org.
