Yonkers, NY, March 2, 2011 -- Yonkers City Council Minority Leader John Murtagh (R), is promoting a “beer, Burgers and Budget" dinner this Friday, March 4th. The catalyst behind this last minute event is in response to what Mr Murtagh claims was his being abrasively disinvited from attending a Police Benevolent Association sponsored dinner scheduled that same evening. Mr Murtagh suggests he was disinvited after he sponsored a resolution promoting public employee union reforms, including over-time pension abuse, and changing the last-in-first-out policy that threatens thousands of teachers in New York State. In juxtaposition to the inference formulated by Mr Murtagh, Yonkers PBA President Keith Olson there is no room for pretense with Mr Murtagh because Mr Murtagh’s demeanor is closed to broaching all the issues, all the concerns, and the requisite and possible solutions.
