mr celente is a gold bug...and gold has performed
very well over the past decade..but gold doesn't
pay a dividend and you can't live off the income
because there is none..now if you sell the gold
and take the profit you can invest it..but if you
believe as mr celente does in catastrophic things
happening around the world then you are totally
discounting the business cycle whihc from time to
time has its ups and downs including the great
depression and the great recession..but the economy
has always returned to the mean..which would tend
to indicate that even if gold goes a bit higher
and that is entirely possible, eventually it will
fall.....all bubbles burst...however if you think
interest rates are going to rise in the US because
we have a huge deficit and our credit rating may
take a hit forcing the US government to pay more
for what it borrows then you should be betting against
the long bond..eg betting that interest rates rise
I am not an investment advisor..but there is a way
to bet against the long bond...RYJUX...when the long
end of the curve goes up and the bond sells off this
fund does well...if rising interest rates are what
you think is what will be the ultimate outcome then
this rider mutual fund will help you play that bet..
and after all the markets including the gold markets
are a suckers game..that would be a quote from
a man who died in 1974 with 50 million dollars in
assets...NONE OF IT IN THE STOCK MARKET
