Yonkers, NY, September 19, 2010 -- On 09-16-10 at approximately 5:30 p.m., numerous 3rd Precinct units including Police Officers Robert McLaughlin and Neil Vera responded to 99 Ash Street on a report of a dispute with shots fired. Investigation revealed that a male (latter identified as Mohamed Hussein) had fired a round from a shotgun from a second floor window after being involved in a dispute on the street. Two males involved in the dispute were walking away from the scene when the suspect was observed leaning out of a second floor window and firing the weapon at the direction of the two males. Officers immediately canvassed the building and subsequently located the suspect and placed him into custody. Officers also recovered a 12 gauge shotgun, 22 shotgun cartridges, and 2 spent shotgun cartridges. No injuries were reported at the scene as a result of this shooting. Mohamed B. Hussein, a 24 year old white male, was booked for Reckless Endangerment 1st degree and Menacing 2nd degree. He was arraigned in Yonkers Criminal court on 09-17-10.
