White Plains, NY -- Citing her record of accomplishment, the New York State Association of Chiefs of Police has endorsed Westchester's District Attorney Janet DiFiore for re-election. The letter on behalf of the President of the New York State Association of Chiefs of Police, Chief William Kilfoil, recognizes District Attorney Janet DiFiore's outstanding support of the law enforcement community, as well as her substantial record of accomplishments as the reason for the decision. Quoting from the endorsement letter directly:
"...It goes without saying you have earned an outstanding reputation among Police Chiefs in Westchester County and that you have been an outstanding supporter of the entire law enforcement community in your region. However, the sum total of your entire career and all of your achievements demand that you continue as the chief law enforcement official in the County. Your long career as a prosecutor and as a drug enforcement coordinator coupled with numerous positions designed to promote the fair admininistration of justice make you ideally suited to continue as District Attorney. We hope that our endorsement will assist you in continuing a long and impressive record of accomplishments for all of us in law enforcement and all of the residents of Westchester County."
District Attorney Janet DiFiore proudly accepted the endorsement without hesitation, in turn praising the statewide organization and its members, "who know first-hand the qualities of a good District Attorney. These are the men and women in charge of making their communities as safe as possible. I share their strong commitment to public safety, and recognize in turn, the outstanding work they do as law enforcement managers and leaders in villages, towns and cities across the state. Having important, collaborative working relationships such as this one, strengthens my office's ability to pursue justice against those who violate the law, and protect our residents."
