have a chance..and castro is getting the IND line...its funny that some people accuse difiore of NOT backing the police..while others insist she is in their pockets.. just remember the job of the DA..is to fairly prosecute crimes....that is why charging decisions are initially made by the cops but the final word is the da's..and she cannot be a rubber stamp

There could be a big Republican (and even moderate Democrat) backlash against not only Obama and the Democratic Congress, but also against Paterson, Spitzer before him, and the Dem majorities in Albany who are soaking the taxpayers with a monstrous tax and spend budget. NY State is in big, big trouble, and the Democrats are in charge. That backlash may happen.

now that it is clear that officer ridley's father is not the estate representative for
the deceased police officer, and it is clear that the video does not show anything close to what Lovett is alleging in his lawsuit, and now that the witness that Lovett cites in his legal papers has given the police a statement completely at odds with the lawsuit indicating that he heard but did not see the actual shooting of officer Ridley it is long past time that dan schor and tony castro spoke up and made it clear that they want to be disassociated from Lovett, his legal wilding, and blassberg's rants appearing in zherka's guardian..ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. this is a race for DA..not a circus> Both men are dishonoring The great tradition of Carl Vergari the man who made the Westchester da’s office a national Leader in modern prosecutorial techniques, victim witness services and domestic violence prosecutions

It now seems like a few witnesses are lying. They are changing their stories. Very bad. Very bad for Lovett too.

soup...how about the rabbit stew...his homeless witness all dressed up with no place to go first told the police one thing, then apparently told lovett another, then finally said he saw the shooting through a car window..but if you watch the video it appears that he was down ducking as he stated the first time....Ms Maravilla said "once he was down (Ridley) they didn't shoot anymore...Nobody walked up to him and put a gun to his head..they didn't take his badge they didnt do anything like Lovett is saying...I saw exactly what happened" 62 witnesses appeared before the grand jury,62 of them...and Lovett comes up with
one witness who originally states he didn’t see the shooting but simply heard it...
someone needs to explain to these supposed witnesses that perjury is a felony..and
that if they are lying they will be charged they also ought to be asked whether they
have ever spoken to sam zherka with regard to this matter...and if so what he said to
them...and finally a grievance should be filed against lovett by the officers he
is maligning. Remember you can sue for whatever amount you want..collecting is another matter

The County Police Union is threatening to sue Lovett. They should do it. And you bet, these "witnesses" should be asked if they ever met Sam Zherka, ever spoke to him, or ever received any "promises" or other consideration from him or anyone connected to him. Or from anybody at all, for that matter.

First, remind them of the consequences of perjury.
