MOUNT PLEASANT, NY – Thomas Weibrecht, former Yonkers Board of Education Trustee and present Yonkers Program Administrator for Capital Improvements was arrested by Mount Pleasant Police when he was caught swimming drunk, and naked in a neighbor’s swimming pool.

The 52-year-old gave 483 Old Chappaqua Road, in Briarcliff as his present address. The address is different from the one referenced in Mr. Weibrecht’s information record in the City of Yonkers, substantiating the many years old rumor that he was headed toward marital strife. His two special education needs children are still enrolled in Yonkers Public Schools.
Mr. Weibrecht was charged with third-degree trespass, a misdemeanor, and exposure of a person, a violation. Police found Weibrecht with a case of beer.
Mr. Weibrecht was freed on $1,000 bail and ordered to return to Mount Pleasant Town Court on Thursday, August 28, 2008.

Will Amicone do the "Nero" and fiddle while Yonkers burns or will he fir this person as he should have fired Officer Simoes?

LETS NOT GET CRAZY. WOULD YOU GET FIRED FROM YOUR LAME JOB IF YOU WERE ARRESTED, WHY SHOULD THIS GUY.
FIRED FOR SWIMMING NAKED...COME ON

It's being lewd. It's total lack of self control and judgement etc etc. I'd sure lose my job if that happened. It would show I couldn't be trusted with the public - there would be a "red flag" big time for management. It wasn't his own back yard. He was entitled to do all that on someone else's property? Give me a break. A lot of people get divorced and don't do that. A lof of people have special needs kids and don't do that. A lot of people get divorced who have special needs kids and don't do that. So, he's in another class? What class is that, pray tell.
And swimming drunk - you can die - so he's endangering others who'd have to come save his ass - ever try to rescue a drowning person who will struggle with you? Like a drunk swimmer. I'm trained in rescueing drowning swimmers, and you hope they haven't been drinking - they may drown you while they flail all over.

Weibrecht is a scum bag and deserves whatever he gets!
Posted by: | August 26, 2008 at 04:41 PM
Now, now. Weibrecht was only trying out for a remake of that Burt Lancaster film, "The Swimmer."
This case is stupid anyway. It will be pled down to a violation. He won't lose his job, nor should he.
Wasn't Weibrecht banned from this site a few years ago for all his nasty comments as "Why The Truth?" Think is was him. Not 100 percent sure.
But...as this story and Snooze 12 report, Tommy Boy is supposed to live in Yonkers, and has an address in Yonkers, but was renting this cottage in Briarcliff. But there may be an acceptable explanation.
Another point is whether the Journal News should even be reporting misdemeanor arrests. They do it all the time the last several years. This is a cheap and easy way for them to fill space. But is it right? If Weibrecht had a felony charge it would be different.
EDITORS NOTE: One and the same,"Why the Truth," is the Thomas Weibrecht we have learned to love. Kindly, Hezi.

Where I work, they do drug testing, and you are fired if you don't pass. What about the city of Yonkers -mandatory drug tests would turn up a lot? Who knows.

The 5:05 comment is unbelievable, perhaps Weibrecht himself.
We are dealing with indicia of a definite psychiatric or psychologocal problem here. We are dealing with a moral issue.
It must be great for Yonkers Public School students to hear that there is nothing wrong with one of their trustees swimming naked in a neighbor's pool. No pool in Yonkers will be safe next year.
Unless you folks belive that nude swimming in YOUR NEIGHBOR'S pool is acceptable conduct, then something has to be done to demonstrate the wrong.
Why did he do it. The recent temperatures havn't driven anyone to seek desperate relief rom the warmth by diving into any pool of water while naked.
Something is wrong with this situation and for anyone to suggest that it's O.K. is weird.
Amicone should fire him immediately. Any self respecting decent person, at the helm, would do so.
Even if not guilty of any violation, misdemeanor or felony, the conduct itself disqualifies him from public service.
Fire him, Phil. If you don't, there must be an alterior motive for keeping him.
Say it ain't so.

Another Yonkers' stellar employee. I can hardly wait to see Amicone present him with the employee of the month award.

Folks the only tax this city could justifiably levy on us is an entertainment tax. It is just priceless. Take last nights meeting, sitting front and center was the Nascar drive. Maybe we can look forward to Weibrecht streaking at the next meeting

As Phoebe Buffet of TV sitcom "Friends" fame shrieked upon seeing Chandler and Monica in an embrace" "MY EYES!!! MY EYES!!!". I'm sure that is the reaction that Mr. Weibrecht elicited upon being found frolicking in his birthday suit. To quote another TV icon, Ed Grimley, "that's a pain that will linger, I must say".

Maybe he can invite Edelman to go skinny dipping with him.

Give Weibrecht a break. He's just an old hippie dippy skinny dipper in the same mold (literally) as Chuckles Lesnick, who still thinks it's 1969. They like to mentally revisit Woodstock every chance they get.
It's rumored they take mud baths too.

It is amazing that not one elected official in City Hall will open their mouths about this strange conduct or about the police brutality case that may end up costing us $11 million.
Not one of them has any courage.
Real leadership.
