HEARD THAT ROONEY FAMILY ARE IN A FEUD. CANT OWN NFL TEAM AND CASINO. SOME OF THE FAMILY WANTS TO SELL THEIR SHARE OF STEELERS, WHICH IS WORTH 1 BILLION DOLLARS.
AND SOME WANT TO FIGURE OUT A WAY TO KEEP BOTH. SEEMS LIKE THERE IS TROUBLE IN PARADISE.

The NFL frowns on ANY connection to gambling. This whole casino thing can get very, very ugly (and costly) for the Rooney's, from Yonkers to Florida.
Their father, one of the NFL pioneers along with the Mara's, must be rolling over, especially of the family decides to keep the casinos and sell the Steelers for BIG bucks.

Art Rooney Sr. founded the Steelers in about '33. The Giants began in 1925, and the NFL itself a few years earlier. Both Tim Mara and Art Rooney were indeed pioneers with the NFL. Not quite the first wave, but almost. Without a team in NY, the NFL wouldn't have made it. That was Tim Mara's big contribution. And what a big contribution it was, and is.
